It looks like the Eurosceptics are supporting democracy (vox populi) only when it suits. Let me explain: one of the most common complaint is that the unelected Brussels officials are not listening to the people. But when "the people" are voting for their neighbours in Eurovision contest, that's not good. One of the reasons was that UK was getting fewer votes (or none, a couple of years ago). So the new system has only 50% of the final mark given by "the people" and the other 50% by specialists.
I just wonder why are "the people" more suitable to vote on things like Lisbon treaty or EU enlargement if they cannot handle something slightly easier as Eurovision.
Just my 25 (euro)cents opinion.
